Your diamond will be graded according to Weight, Cut, Colour and Clarity.
Weight Weight is measured in carats, (5cts = 1 gram) the larger the stone the more valuable
Cut The cut of the diamond is the shape of the diamond, some shapes such as round stones are more valuable than other shapes. It is also how the diamond has been polished, the better the diamond has been polished and the better the proportions the more valuable it is.
Colour Colour is defined as the colourlessness of the diamond. The more colourless the more valuable the diamond. The best colour is a D colour diamond.
Clarity The clarity is worked out by magnifying the diamond 10x, then analysis of the small marks will enable the diamond’s clarity to be determined.
When an offer is accepted we will need proof of identity (either photocopy of passport or photo driving license) and proof of address (a copy of a utility bill or something with your address on it). We need this information for anti-money laundering regulations. We will then send you a form to sign and return which states that the item is yours to sell.
Once we have received these back we would transfer the funds to your account the same day.
If you are not happy with the offer we will return the item the same day by royal mail special delivery. This will be fully insured and you should receive it the following day.
